Lady Missing for 49 Days in Wilderness
In Boise, Idaho, 56 year old, Rita Chretien, was found on Friday after missing for 49 days. She was found by hunters who had spotted her van on a national forest road in Elko County. Her husband, Albert, still remains missing. The doctors said Rita was very close to dying from starvation. She lost a total of 20-30 lbs while she was stranded. The couple had run into trouble with their van and Albert had left on foot with a GPS looking for help. He never returned. Police say the terrain is very rugged and tough to search, they described it as a "spiderweb." The search will continue for Albert.

Obesity Ads in Georgia Go Too Far
So there are ads about child obesity that are claimed to "go too far". The striking images of overweight kids looking sad on billboards are said to hurt the kids they are trying to protect rather than help them. Some slogans on these billboards are "Chubby kids may not outlive their parents," or "Big bones didn't make me this way. Big meals did." I could see how this could upset some kids. This case got brought all the way to the White House and they are deciding whether they should continue to use these ads. What do you think?

Gunnar Legas..Wow!
So theres this 7th grader in Provo, Utah who has crazy accuracy with a football. He throw it and knocks bottles down, boxes, makes it in basketball hoops from far away, and ends it with throwing the football and knocking the hat off his partners head. He does some passes to his partner while blind folded and hits every target he has, the farthest one at 50 yards away. I think this kid is awesome and if he keeps working at football he'll be like professional by sophmore year. He said his inspiration was from Johnny McEntee. Johnny McEntee is a quartback at UConn and is only a sophmore, he posted a trick shot video which inspired Gunnar.

Clicker Universal Remote With Bottle Opener
So Clicker has made a universal remote with a built in bottle opener. The pros of this product are that its hefty and well constructed, controls up to 8 devices, It opens bottles! The only con is that is doesnt come with batteries. I think they made this product for the lazy sports fans who drink a lot of beer and dont feel like getting up to get a bottle opener, so they put one on the thing they always have their hand on, the remote. This would be a pretty cool and handy thing to own. Most people would like to have one of these if they're lazy or just want to make things easier. Personally I would buy one of these, they should also make them on PS3 controllers and Xbox controllers! (Even though people with Xboxs are lamez ;P) What do you nuccas think?

Serial Killer: Oak Beach, NY
OAK BEACH, N.Y. -- Searchers scouring dense undergrowth for more victims of a suspected serial killer along a remote New York beach area have now found a total of eight sets of human remains, authorities said Monday.
Searchers perched in fire truck bucket ladders and others on foot had scanned the tick-infested vegetation, resulting in the discovery of three more people's remains. Suffolk County Police Commissioner Richard Dormer said the search was expected to resume Tuesday.
One person's remains were found last week along the highway that leads to popular Jones Beach, about 45 miles east of New York City. That victim has not been identified, and police have not positively connected it to the bodies of four prostitutes found nearby in December.
Police also employed helicopters and cadaver dogs, as well as police academy cadets, detectives and volunteer firefighters, in their search through thick underbrush and evergreens on a barrier island south of Long Island.
Dominick Varrone, Suffolk's chief of detectives, said the dogs were having a difficult time maneuvering through the brush. "They don't like getting smacked in the face with the bramble," he said.
Police said as many as 20 officers had been infected with poison ivy during recent searches.
The four dead prostitutes were found in December in the area, a 4-foot-tall tangle of sea grass punctuated by scrubby pine trees. Police suspect a serial killer, but so far have no suspects.
It took more than a month to identify the four women found in December. The New York City medical examiner's office is helping Suffolk County officials investigate the latest discovery.
Investigators have searched the area, roughly 7.5 miles, several times since December. Dormer said the discovery of the latest remains gives investigators new possible leads into the killings of all the victims.
Forensic testing determined that the body found last week was not that of Shannan Gilbert, a missing Jersey City, N.J., woman. Because authorities have DNA samples from her family, a comparison with the latest remains "should come pretty quickly," Dormer said.
Gilbert, 24, was last seen in Oak Beach on May 1, 2010, after apparently meeting a client she had booked through Craigslist. The bodies of the four other women, who worked as Craigslist escorts and were in their 20s, were found along the same highway by police searching for Gilbert. The latest discovery was about a mile east of where the other four were found. The four dead women's remains were strewn about 500 yards apart from each other.
MY OPINION:
Okay so I know if you read that its pretty boring, if you didnt..pretty much a bunch of prostitutes were found dead in Oak Beach, NY. Officers believe there is a serial killer hiring escorts from Craigslist and killing them. They now have a total of 8 sets of human remains all found in the same general area. This is why you dont be a prositute when you get older..you never live to be very old, youre either going to die of STDs or get murdered, your choice. This is pretty gross though, to kill someone and cut them up or whatever he did. Its gross and some people are sick :P Well yeah, dont be a whore. Whatcha think nuccas?

Killzone 3
After 2 succesful game releases of the series Killzone from Gurellia Games, they decided to release a Killzone 3. They changed a few things a little, including the color scheme, the multiplayer, the overall character setups, and the setting. The sales were quite dissapointing for Gurellia Games, selling only 500k units in the first week. They have not yet been able to beat Killzone 2's sales. They were expected to sell 4 million units by the end of the year. I do not think they will reach this goal judging by how their sales are going so far. Most of their sales came from pre-orders and were steady after that. This game was said to help sell more systems because of their Killzone 3 and PS3 package including a Playstaion Move Motion Gun. I expected this game to be more succesful, but whatevsss. What do you nuccas think?

Moder Warfare 3...?
There is controversary all over the internet about whether there will be a MW3 or not. I think they should release a MW3,considering how amazing MW2 was, Black Ops was a disapointment. Seeing what happened with Black Ops I believe that they need to make a new one to come back from the embarassment. There is a rumor for a release date of November 2011. What is your opinion on BO and whether they need a MW3.

Battle Field 3
The Battle Field Bad Company franchise is soon going to be coming out with a new game, Battle Field 3. The makers of this game reportadly went to an actual military exercise to get a grip on what the battlefield is really like. This will most likely make this game freakin' orgasmic. They will be focusing on an even better destructable enviornment, better sound effects, and the most realistic first person war game, so far. Everything about this game will be better. This game shall be an amazing orgasmic experience ;)

Carmelo Anthony Gets Traded to the New York Knicks.
The Denver Nuggets have finally decided to trade Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks. This trade is obviously a big deal for the Knicks considering they traded Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton, Wilson Chandler, and Timofey Mozgov, all for one player.
Anthony is expected to sign a 3 year-$65 million dollar extension with the Knicks. I think that it might make the 4 players being traded
kinda mad or something because they're all getting
traded so the Knicks can have just one player.
But then again, they make millions of dollars so
they probably don't care who they play for or whatever
as long as they're rich.

Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Black Ops Smashes Sales Records
Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops has grossed $650 million within its first five days on sale worldwide. This beats last years Modern Warfare 2 by over $100 million. Call of Duty has become the first entertainment property in history to set five-day launch records for two consecutive years across all forms of entertainment.
Over 2.6 million unique gamers logged 5.9 million multiplayer hours on Xbox LIVE on 9th of November. The game was also a tremendous success on the PlayStation 3.
Black Ops has also set new sales records in the United Kingdom; Two million copies of the game were sold in five days, beating the previous record holder, Modern Warfare 2, by over 10 percent. The Xbox 360 was the best selling version of Call of Duty: Black Ops in the game's opening week. Out of the 2 million sold copies in the UK, 55 percent were Xbox 360 versions and 42 percent PlayStation 3. The PC, DS and Wii versions took the remaining 3 percent.
My Opinion: The new CoD game is good, honestly in my opinion it could've been better. The graphics should've been done by Infinity Ward rather than Treyarch, Treyarch Sucks! The campaign was pretty orgasmic, also the multiplayer is better set up than MW2. The way they made the guns and how you get gun attachments and camo etc, was a good choice. It makes the player a lot more independent on what they want on their guns.
The sales were better for BLOPS than MW2 by millions. The CoD franchise is probably the most successful 1st person shooter franchise of all time, in my opinion. Although there were some minor problems with it and it was slightly disappointing, it is still a fun game. Of course the next CoD will beat BLOPS and it will just be an on going process of games out selling the last one. CoD 4evr!

Medical Marijuana, Good or Bad? ;)
Debate highlights medical marijuana controversy
August 18, 2010 8:07 PM
THE GAZETTE
The two sides of the Colorado Springs medical marijuana dispensary debate had it out on live television Tuesday night as a pair of city councilmen who support the booming businesses took on two politicians who want them banned.
It’s an issue that could wind up before voters under a recently passed state law that allows cities and counties to ban dispensaries with a public vote.
The push to regulate dispensaries has been led by Colorado Springs councilmen Sean Paige and Tom Gallagher, outspoken defenders of Amendment 20. The amendment, approved by voters in 2000, gives Coloradans the right to use medical marijuana to treat debilitating medical conditions.
“This is a personal medical choice that government should stay out of,” Paige told a standing room-only crowd of more than 100 at Penrose Public Library. “We need to be guided by reason, not overreaction.”
The other side was represented by 4th Judicial District Attorney Dan May and state Rep. Mark Waller, a former prosecutor.
“Those voters approved the use of medical marijuana when they approved Amendment 20 and we need to ask them what they meant,” said Waller, advocating for a public vote on dispensaries.
The debate, sponsored by The Gazette, KOAA television and the Pikes Peak Library District, highlighted the community struggle with a drug that remains illegal under federal law.
Medical marijuana businesses in Colorado were sparse until 2009, when the federal government decided to not enforce its laws in states where marijuana is medically legal.
Now, the city has more than 200 medical marijuana businesses, and the state health department is getting more than 1,000 patient applications for medical marijuana use daily.
The state reacted to the growth in May by passing a measure that allows local bans, among other things.
Since the new state regulations took hold in July, a Colorado Springs group has pushed to put a ban on the ballot here. Next week, El Paso County commissioners will consider a public vote on a dispensary ban. Dispensary backers say the drug, though, will have a smaller community impact than alcohol, which remains legal statewide.
“It’s not a demon plant,” said Gallagher. “It’s amazing, the misconceptions and myths that have grown up around this issue.”
May said marijuana businesses add to the community’s misery.
“I have had five marijuana murder cases since I have been in office,” said May, who was elected in 2008.
May supports the “caregiver model,” which allows people to grow marijuana in their homes for as many as five patients.
Paige said banning the businesses would accomplish nothing.
“We had 210 bank robberies in the city last year and nobody is advocating closing down banks,” Paige responded.

My Opinion: I believe that marijuana should be legal to people who need it for medical reasons. It is a good thing to help people with pain or stress or whatever, but not good for kids who just want to smoke it for no reason..haha. It also could possibily help with the economy if they make it completely legal. Marijuana isn't as bad as drugs such as; crack, cocaine, heroin, LSD, or other hardcore drugs. Personally I think that people just over react over the marijuana arguement.
